Our process, in the open

From brief to delivery.No surprises.

Every character we build goes through the same structured process, with formal approval checkpoints where you decide whether we move forward. We publish it here, phase by phase — transparency isn't a promise, it's a method. You pay 50% to start and 50% only after approving the final result.

Phase 1

Alignment

No creative work starts before we understand your brand. This is where the right direction gets defined.

Production roadmap in an online table, with each project stage, status, deadlines, delivery dates, and owners

Once the project kicks off, you follow this roadmap online in real time: status, deadlines, and the owner of every stage

What we do

  • Strategic alignment session (30 min) — brand values, target audience, character personality, intended usage contexts
  • Collect your visual references (style, characters, colors, mood)
  • Define the creative direction before any work begins

What you do

  • Join the session
  • Share your references
  • Sign the contract and submit the 50% deposit

Output of this phase: Documented creative direction

Phase 2

Concept + Sculpt

The sculpt is the digital sculpture of your character — the 3D form that defines proportions, silhouette, and personality before colors and materials come in.

What we do

  • Develop the visual concept for your character
  • Block-in: rough 3D structure to validate proportions and silhouette
  • Sculpt: detailed digital sculpting of the character

What you do

  • Nothing — we handle everything at this stage

Output of this phase: Initial 3D sculpt ready for your review

Phase 3

Full Modeling

The most technical phase of the project. Every step here is what separates a professional character from a file you can't actually use.

Full modeling steps of a 3D character: wireframe mesh, UV map, rigging, and final textured render

What we do

  • Retopology: optimizing the 3D mesh for use in platforms, games, and animation
  • UV unwrapping: surface mapping for texture application
  • Materials & textures: colors, skin, clothing, visual details — aligned with your brand identity
  • Rigging: bone structure that enables future poses and animation
  • Lighting: setup for final renders

What you do

  • Nothing — we handle everything
  • You can monitor project status in real time via your client portal

Output of this phase: Fully textured and rigged character ready for review

Phase 4

Poses + Final Delivery

You define the situations and expressions. We turn them into ready-to-use assets.

Set of rendered poses, straight from the Bow-e project

What we do

  • Position and render each pose in high resolution
  • Finalize the 360° turnaround
  • Package and deliver all final files — released after your final approval and second payment

What you do

  • Submit your pose brief (which expressions and situations you want)
  • Request adjustments on any pose before final delivery
  • Approve the final result — the second 50% is due only at this point

Output of this phase: Complete Starter package: rigged 3D model ready for animation, 5 high-resolution rendered poses (PNG + JPG), 360° turnaround, 3 WhatsApp stickers, and organized files ready for immediate use

Phase 5

Separate scope

Animations

With the model delivered and the rig in place, animation is the natural next step — loops for social media, campaign videos, motion for your platform.

Animation loop examples, straight from the Bow-e project

What we do

  • Animation brief with you
  • Production of each animation as defined in scope
  • Delivery as loops for platforms and social media, in MP4, WebM, and GIF

What you do

  • Send the animation brief and approve each delivery

Output of this phase: Animations are not included in the Starter package. They are part of the Custom scope or can be contracted separately after the character model is delivered

Process FAQ

What everyone asks about the process.

The criterion is objective: the sculpt is evaluated against the brief and direction we set together in Phase 1, not personal taste in the moment. The question is whether it delivers what we agreed to build for the brand. If we missed the direction you gave us, we course-correct with you before any further work begins — that's exactly why the checkpoint exists, to catch a wrong direction early when it's easy to fix. And the payment model protects you throughout: 50% to start, 50% only after you approve the final result.

At each review point (textured model and poses), you can request specific changes within the agreed scope. Adjustments to color, materials, expression, and details are part of the process. Changes in creative direction after the sculpt is approved are treated as new scope — which is why the sculpt checkpoint matters so much.

You get access to a client portal showing the real status of every stage, updated by the production team itself. No chasing by email, no status calls required — the whole flow is async.

Because every project has different complexity, and promising per-stage deadlines would be guesswork, not transparency. What we commit to is the overall timeline defined in your proposal. The actual schedule for your project is visible in the client portal.

No. At each checkpoint we present the material with context and explain what you're evaluating: form and personality at the sculpt, colors and materials at the textured model, expression and usage at the poses. You evaluate as someone who knows their own brand — which is what matters. The technical side is our job.

Not in the Starter package. The model ships with rigging — the internal structure that enables animation — so it's animation-ready at any time. Animations themselves are part of the Custom scope or can be contracted separately after delivery.

Now you know the whole process.

It's the same process for every project, from first brief to final file. If it makes sense for your brand, the next step takes 5 minutes — and we'll send a proposal within 1 business day.
